Tsigereda Bekele
Tsigereda brings over 20 years of experience in developing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems, along with implementing MEL activities in health, education, and youth development programs. She has led, supervised, and managed evaluations, research, and data management efforts for over eight donor-funded programs, using data to inform decision-making, analysis, and utilization.
From 2018 to 2020, Mrs. Tsigereda served as president of the Ethiopian Evaluation Association, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening the national VOPE, providing strategic direction to advocate for evaluation practices, and fostering collaboration with government institutions and development partners. She also volunteered on the board of directors of the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE), representing African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) from 2020 to 2022, and served as secretary of IOCE from 2022 to 2024.
Tsigereda participated in the 2019 ECD seminar at the University of Antwerp and was honored with the 2023 Communitor+ Award at the Uganda ECD seminar. As a Communitor, she draws on her extensive experience working with and for VOPEs to contribute meaningfully to the evaluation field.
